Google’s Shorts intends to compete with Tiktok, with an average of 3.5 billion views per day during its trial run in India

Shorts, a short video app covered by Google’s YouTube, intends to compete with Tiktok. It had 3.5 billion views a day during its early trial run in India, CEO Susan Wojcicki said on Tuesday. According to Wojcicki, YouTube is expected to expand Shorts to more markets in 2021. YouTube does not disclose detailed statistics on the service as a whole, but it says 2 billion logged-in users visit it every month, and people watch 1 billion hours of videoson the service every day.
