On August 24, it was reported that two Baidu search company executives who left in 2019 have joined Bytedance–Wu Haifeng and Sun Wenyu. According to public information, Wu served as Vice President of Baidu inc., and was fully responsible for Baidu’s overall search business and Baidu’s business system. Sun Wenyu used to be the executive director of Baidu, the person in charge of Baidu search business, multi-mode search business and the founder of simple search App.
As for the messages, Baidu declined to comment and Bytedance did not respond to requests for comment so far.
